Frequently asked questions.

What is MWTX?

Men’s Work, TX (MWTX) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building a culture of emotionally mature, grounded, compassionate, and powerful men across Texas. We do this through structured group experiences—both virtual and in-person—that help men grow in emotional literacy, connection, and embodied leadership.

Is this therapy?

No. MWTX is not therapy or group counseling. It is a growth-based, peer-supported community facilitated by trained player-coaches who guide conversations rooted in emotional, relational, and spiritual development.

Who is this for?

Any man in Texas (or connected to it) who is:

  • Craving deeper connection and accountability

  • Struggling with isolation, emotional shut-down, or disconnection

  • Ready to engage in honest work around legacy, leadership, pain, and embodiment

  • Willing to be challenged, supported, and seen

What’s the time commitment?

We follow a semester-based rhythm (Fall + Spring) that includes:

  • Bi-weekly full community virtual calls (Monday evenings, ~90 min)

  • Bi-weekly local cohort meetups (virtual or in person)

  • Two in-person gatherings per semester:

    • Connection Break (mid-semester)

    • Embodiment Camp (end of semester)

How much does membership cost?

We offer tiered monthly membership options so that every man can participate:

  • $50/month – Subsidized

  • $100/month – Sustainable

  • $150/month – Supportive

  • $200/month – Pay for yourself and another man

  • Scholarships are available. [Apply here →]

Every member receives full access to all programming and events. No hierarchy. Just brotherhood.

What topics do you cover?

Each semester moves through our core Labyrinth curriculum, including:

  • Avoidance & Connection

  • Pain & Reactions

  • Anger & Root Emotions

  • Family of Origin

  • Mindfulness

  • Roles We Play

  • Sexuality

  • Embodiment

Some topics are explored virtually. Others unfold around the fire or in nature.

Who leads MWTX?

MWTX is led by a team of Player-Coaches—men who are doing the work alongside those they serve. Each brings personal experience, training, and a deep commitment to masculine wholeness.
